On 2nd November I was back at one of my favourite venues Deer Park Country House for the wedding of a truly dynamic duo Emily and Andy.   Rarely have I met such a sporty, driven and ambitious couple.   They were quite a tour de force.  Supremely organised and a joy to work with.

Kate & Rich’s Autumn Wedding at Baron’s Hill Barn

Charlotte & Chris’ Wedding at the Bride’s Family Home

At the end of July last year, I was lucky enough to conduct a wedding ceremony for Charlotte and Chris in Sidbury in East Devon, an area of outstanding natural beauty.  Her parents’ farm looks straight down the Sid Valley to the sea and that was the chosen venue for their wedding.

The Deer Park Wedding of Kirstie and Dan

I have three outstanding memories of the day when the lovely Dan and Kirstie were married at Deer Park Country House.Firstly, the weather.  It really was the filthiest day weather-wise.  Dear Dan couldn’t really hide his disappointment.  After all it had been the most incredible summer and 22nd September was one of the few Saturdays when it had decided to really chuck it down.

Creating Vows from Inspirational Music

Over the years I have collected quite a selection of inspirational music. Some well-known ones but also some slightly more obscure pieces. Being a music fan, I particularly like lyrics to songs and find incorporating them into your wedding ceremony, either as part of your vows or as a reading or musical interlude, the perfect way to say something beautiful if you are struggling to find the words yourself.
